Department of Hydrobiology

Hydrobiology  is the science of life  and life processes in sea and freshwater. Our division include several subdisiplines such as ecology, morphology and physiology. Our team consist of 2 professors and 1 assoc. Prof.

Our goals of current researches are the investigations  into the mechanisms of different chemicals and nanoparticles ecotoxicology, genotoxicology and histopatologically to assessing population level effects of environmental contaminants in vitro and in vivo, principally fish. We play roles also in leading various strategic research partnerships with internal and external partners.

Much of our research includes applying molecular techniques to understand the basis of life processes and the mechanisms through which they are disrupted by environmental contaminants.
