Department of General Biology

General Biology Department includes 1 professor and 1assoc. professor. The department has a student laboratory used for undergraduate students and a research laboratory where scientific studies are done. Microscopic applications in General Biology and Cell Biology Laboratories are carried out in the student laboratory. Light, fluorescence, and electron (TEM-SEM) based structural and molecular cell studies are carried out in the research laboratory. In the research laboratory there is sufficient background for microscopic preparation such as a hand microtome, ultracut, light and fluorescence imaging system. Department members work on "Plant Developmental Biology" category and the cytotoxic effects of various factors on the cell.

The research laboratory provides assistance to other researchers and post-graduate students.
